Fatima Rougi is the Esch-sur-Alzette Local Project Coordinator. Born in Morocco, she grew up in Corsica, and studied history and journalism in France. Militant feminist, writer and former journalist, she is currently Press & PR Manager at Philharmonie Luxembourg after working 7 years as a marketing & press relations officer at Kulturfabrik, a key cultural center in Esch-sur-Alzette. With over 15 years of experience working in journalism and volunteering, her work mainly deals with issues related to culture, women's rights and migration. She is member of the Board of Directors of Family Planning Luxembourg since 2015 and she is at the origin of the law which allowed to change the taxation of menstrual products from 17 to 3% in Luxembourg.
